Just a few years ago, "Eastbound and Down" star Kenny Powers uttered the phrase "Denali's on the Reg" - beginning a new appreciation for the award winning SUV.

Powers was talking about the GMC Yukon Denali - which, according to the character, was the only vehicle a man of baseball glory should drive. And when Powers was signed back up to the majors, the first thing he did was go to a GMC dealer (not unlike Gurley Leep GM) and get himself into a Denali.

But in the second season of this raunchy HBO comedy, the Yukon spent most of its time up on blocks in Mexico. However, things are looking up for Kenny Powers as the network films and premiers season three. Maybe the GMC Yukon will make a return. Though it does seem like this will be the final run around for this series.

As filming began this summer, with Eastbound and Down Season 3 ready to premiere in the fall or early 2012 on HBO, KP himself gave reporters the scoop:

"We've always imagined this thing as something that we would keep short and not give it a chance to kind of get old," said Danny McBride, star of Eastbound and Down. "We have really approached each season as if it was just an act of a larger story, and so the third season to us has always been the climax of the story. The season ended last year where Kenny finds out he's going to have a kid, so this season obviously kind of deals with that and him continuing his hunt for the Majors. So, I think you'll see a lot of people from some of the other seasons as well."¹
